In response to the dilemma of corrected writing coming out of the art room.
Why would we expect less from our students writing in the art room than from
an academic classroom? We are all in the business of education and should be
expected to support good skills. If students were responding in a private
type of journal is one area that might be excused, however, art and writing
displayed to the general public is very visible and very much in the public
eye. Get together with their classroom teachers and ask for a little help in
the area of written responses, it could be a method of joining forces with
our "academic partners" in the development of the total child.
