When you delete anything it goes to the 'trash can'. If you don't empty your
'trash' can, they may be just sitting there even after you delete them. Also,
if you have your preferences set to save a copy of all your 'sent' mail, that
needs to be deleted periodically too, some programs delete things after so
many days, some don't. If yours doesn't and that's what it sounds like,
you'll have to do it yourself(it's very possible to have 600 or 1000's -
outlook express doesn't delete unless you change the preferences, AOL pitches
everything after so many days, so you'd better print it out if you want to
keep it!!!.Read the info on your mail service, there sould be a help menu to
get you to a menu for all of these things!! Happy deleting!
