It's important that you apply the ink with brayers.......I have old lunchroom
TRAYS....hmmmmmmmmmmm and squirt inks out on them, roll the ink until it
sound TACKY......that funny sound, and then apply it to the "carved block
styrofoam." Sounds like the ink was too watery or too thick without "rollin'
rollin' rollin' the brayer." Hope this helps....you can also have the kids
take ballpoint pens and draw the lines deeper.......this is the tool that I
used as well as some blunt pencils but ballpoint pens were the best.......for
crisp, linear, qualities.
