Dear Susan,
If these Items are non-functional and porous, you could use a tile/grout
sealant made for cold temps. You just kept brushing it on until it's
saturated. let it dry do it again. I use it on terra cotta pots that I
leave out all winter and on my broken tile bird baths. You can find in at
most HomeDepots.
