Re: bad sub

Date: Sun Oct 15 2000 - 18:20:13 PDT

Never ever would I bad mouth a sub who does his/her best - my students are
threatened with almost bodily harm if a sub even hints at problems- I susbbed
here for 6 years before I got hired, back when it was 45.00 a day even if you
were certifiedmy students know to do what they are told, unless life or limb
is in jepaordy, jepordy, jeperdy(boy that looks wrong...) I'll fix it when I
get back, never talk back, do what you're told, be nice, etc. because I got
all that you're going through when I subbed - but I also got hired - so hang
in there - I applied for every job that came by, even aides' jobs, and when I
decided to go out of my district, and actually applied, I was hired within 2
weeks, they didn't think I'd ever leave them! Good subs are worth their
weight in gold, you write down everything that hqppens and give the teacher
the report - I've never met a teacher who would stand up for kids who had
misbehaved with a sub. God bless you!!! I even leave candy for my subs!!
