Re: Paper Mache Animals

Your idea to hang the animals from the ceiling reminds me of something we did
years ago from an old lesson in the magazine Arts and Activities. The title
was It's Raining Cats and Dogs". The fourth graders built their cat or dog
to look like it was flying out of the sky. Some made a superman costume for
their cat, another built a hang glider for their get the idea.
The positions were a riot. I hung them from the ceiling after each
lesson...when they all dripped dry it really did rain in the art room. Ah,
what a memory. I think they were positioned in a loop of fishing line
attached to ceiling with a paper clip. I stood on tables and lifted the
animals in and out of the loop each could change their
position...sometimes diving head first, sometimes tail first! The art room
sure did get a lot of attention from visitors during that project.
