Re: mopping the room

Date: Sun Oct 01 2000 - 18:00:35 PDT

once again...I must say, I took over for an art teacher who had been in the
room for 15 was in horrible shape..clay dust everywhere. After
being moved two summers in a row and weeks and weeks spent cleaning every
corner of the room (our custodians did a beautiful job when the room was
empty! The floor looked perfect!) The room is now clean and I work hours
and hours of my own time to keep it clean. Again...we are not
understaffed...I should not have to beg and beg to get the floor mopped and
should not have to clean my own sinks or scrub my own tables...PS...I do have
the students wash tables, clean floors, wipe sinks etc..but they are there to
learn not do the custodian's job (as I do not get paid to do it either...all
custodians make more money than i do, work 7 hour days and never spend one
minute working when they don't get paid for it!!!) started again....just venting (after spending all weekend
working on lessons for this coming week!!!!)
