mopping the room

I must admit that I personally bought a mop and bucket (the commercial kind
so that we don't have to touch the dirty water) so that we can mop the 3d
room at the end of each ceramic class.

I am perfectly satisfied for the custodian to come in and sweep every day. he
also mops up odd spills. Probably because we clean up after the nasty clay
and we do the sinks, counters and table tops. My kids know that as far as I
am concerned, we make the mess, we clean up the mess.

At our school the custodians are so understaffed it would be unthinkable to
ask them to do anything more than sweep and dust.
