Pottery
Many children learn pottery at a young age, including use of potter's
wheel and applicaton of ceramic glazes (see Chapter 14 for more complete
details).
Precautions
1.Do not allow preschool or elementary school children to handle clay in
dry form. Use wet clay instead. Also take very careful housekeeping
precautions such as cleaning all spills and wet mopping instead of
sweeping.
