I ask my students to sit on the carpet, when I walk over to them i say thumbs
up. They get quiet, (if the gods are with me!) Thumbs up means stop what
your are doing, look at me and listen (one girl used thumbs up as her logo
design for our art show..the copy read "Listen to This!....." It is finally
sinking in after a year!
