I guess I am having a bad couple of weeks. (I lost my voice today, too.)
Today, I was told my field trip which I have been planning for nearly two
months has been cancelled. (Long story - much of which I don't agree with)
My students have been working hard, as best they could, anticipating this
trip. I have not told them it is cancelled. What I want to do is to bring
the art museum to them. (That idea if you can't go to the museum, bring the
museum to you.) I am looking for ideas on how to do this. (The trip was
supposed to be this Friday.)
I have limited resources. An internet trip would be great. However, we
don't have the internet at our school, at least for teachers and students to
use. I was thinking about getting a bunch of "prints" from the local art
center and putting them up on the ceiling. (Have not figured that one out
yet either) Then I would bring in a blanket to lay on the floor and look at
art. (Of course some muchies, too) I want the experience to be different
than when we generally look at work in class. I want the time to be fun,
rewarding, yet still including the "looking at art" experience.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! :)
