Very happy Thanksgiving and a rejuvenating holiday!

Question??? Are there other Native Americans on the list? I am
wondering how you handle the subject of Thanksgiving? The primary
teachers borrow my grandfather's ball stick, my great grandmother's
reed basket, and my "Drums for Powow" tapes. This sticks in my craw.
I see the value of teaching religious freedom and escaping religious
oppression. Those stories come with my white ancestors.

I feel that I am out of touch with the current activism. The only
knowledgeable Native American in my school district moved to the high
school level years ago and I never see him much less have discussions
with him. Any other teachers I know who have native ancestry are
black and their focus is different.
