Thank you for your reply and your offer. All I ask for are some
postcards about art from other places and cultures that I can share with my
kids.
To answer you another question.....
I work for a school system that has 13 elementary schools, 4 middles and
3 highs in the "heart of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia." 4
years ago the system put in the elem. art program. There are 3 elem. art
teachers for 13 schools!
Each principal divides the money up for his/her school. Each of my other
schools give me a budget of between 300.00 - 700.00. (More than I need for
12 weeks of art.) The principal that gave me only 50.00 also asked me last
year if there was an artist who did something with sunflowers when I asked if
I could plant some outside the art room windows.....need I say more !!!!!
I will just need to dig a little deeper inside myself to come up with
lessons to go with what supplies I have left from last year. There are
places around to get free paper from and a few other items. I will not use
my own money this time! The program will be the best that I can make it
within the limits she has set. It will be the kids at this school that will
lose out.
Take care...Robin
