I love reading the list...it makes me feel that I'm not alone out there in
the deep, dark corners of the building where the principals never travels.
I teach at 5 elementary schools. The school year is divided into blocks
of time with schools getting Art for 12 weeks. Depending on the size of the
schools, some blocks are split with 2 school. It totals about 1500 students.
I'm starting my next block tomorrow. The school I'll be at has a wonder
art room left over from when it was a middle school. The problem is I only
given 50.00 for art supplies (400 kids).
I have decided to use "The World according to ART" as my theme while I'm
there. If you could send a postcard dealing with your local art, folk art,
crafts or art history, I would be deeply thankful. I will use them as a
foundation for my program. Also, any ideas for locating artist names and
addresses for my students to write to would be a big help!!!
