My problem is scheduling... They put Art I, II, III, IV and Journalism =
I, II, III, IV all over and where ever they wanted too and even mixed =
7th graders with seniors... I have a hard time with this...
Grief, Brenda! Are you teaching the Journalism at the same time you're =
teaching art? Between that and the grade level mixing, it's no wonder =
you're burnt out. It's a wonder you're not freeze dried and mummified! =
Most of us have had to work grueling schedules, but yours doesn't seem =
very realistic. I suffered burn out at year 17 and was ready to leave. =
Administrative turnover solved the problem. I just had to wait a bit, =
but there is no way to see into the future to see the solution. I did =
have an administrator drive my schedule one year to see how impossible =
the travel times were between buildings and schedules and she changed =
things for all art, music and P.E. teachers. Can you have an =
administrator spend the worst of your day with you to see what the =
logistical problems are. I'd be pretty candid about what I'm suffering, =
but not everyone would. Sometimes they have to walk a mile in your =
moccasins. Good luck and keep us posted. Linda K.
