I think a multicultural education involves more than adding some diversity
to a western-based curriculum. Rather, it requires a non-biased attitude
towards the subject (in this case art) whereby artists, and their products
are judged in their own context and no one culture is emphasised. Is anyone
here teaching this way? I have not yet taught art full-time
(two semesters to go!). This is a hot topic in the courses I've been taking
and I'm wondering how it is being put into practice. ~A
