Really, is that a judgement that you can pass so quickly? Wasn't it Van
Gogh who did all of the blurry paintings because he had a stigmatism? What
if one of his friends said, "Van, why are you even trying to paint? You
can't even see the broad side of a haystack clearly!"

And look what we would have lost.

Perhaps your student is just...expressing his own unique style?
