Re: no sinks and a frustrated art teacher

i have a sink in my art room, but it never goes on during class (unless I
need to wash something-rare) I find that using the sink during classtime
takes too much time away from art, so I have a bucket opf lightly soapy
water, at the end of the class, each child dips, rubs, dips and dries.
After class I refill the water/soap for the next class, if it's really
grungy. Also, I rarely use paint trays that need washing. Parents are more
than happy to bring in egg cartons, and if not, go to a local resturaunt or
diner and ask for some. Then just toss them after the class, and have
another bucket for brushes. I am all for recycling, and used to feel guilty
about going through egg cartons, but I am recycling them, i use them once
more than diner. Also time with children is more important!
Hope this helps.
