Hi Everyone.
I am so amazed at all these messages about "what you wear to work" and I
find it a rather funny discussion(some of it really funny like Wendy´s
description) in this group even though I think the shoe issue came up
before and was o.k. But I cannot believe that a teacher cannot wear
birkenstock shoes or clogs to work, what kind of rules are these?
What amazes me mostly is to hear that in a country like yours, USA, there
is actually not freedom to wear what you want to work. I should think that
professional people like art teacher do not have to be told what to wear, I
think they should be trusted to wear what they feel is right for them .
Here(Iceland) no one would ever dream of telling teachers, art teachers or
others what to wear, they know and I think all or at least most of them
dress very appropriately(in a very broad sense of the word).
I just could not help but comment on this.
Best regards from the far north, Rosa
