I agree with you -Ricki.
If a teacher can't be effective in rendering a "stick figure", or a contour
or a sketch with shade and shadow that is fairly realistic,
why try teach something you can't do? How can you model success to the
students? Perhaps you'd do better to co-teach with someone who can, and focus
on your individual strengths- if that's an option. I know I'm not
particularly keen in Art History-I know my way around- but not off the top of
my head. I know I'm not cut out to teach Adv. Placement or Honors Art
Isn't this like a "Creative Writing " teacher that can't write, or a math
teacher who doesn't do math??
