The club up is another way for people to communicate. Before I set up the
artsednetters club I set one up for the Art Educators of NJ and announced it
to the list. After getting positive responses from people on the getty list
and reading some messages about the longevity of the getty list I set up the
As said earlier you can post pictures to the site, a chat room is available
and there is also a calendar. The site offers some things that the getty list
does not have.
If people want to have a live chat they can set up a time and go to the site
and chat. I am sure that some folks would enjoy that. Also, since it is not
an email list you can go to a page and see the threads of discussion and just
pick what you want.
In oder to insure that things stay civil you have to register with Yahoo
before you can join. A club's founder can knock people out of the club. A
founder can also email everyone in the club. If anyone else would like to be
a founder let me know. I don't see any need to police the list. Also, I enjoy
the getty list and do not see this as a way of breaking up the list but
giving list members a place to chat and post pictures.
