Ken, I share in your thoughts about students being an extension or our art.
Much of the time I'm too drained to produce anything of my own, but sometimes
I muster up enough energy to make a few things to keep my contact with the
Atlanta art community. I seem to need both to keep me plugged in and
nurtured!

Since I value your opinion and you always seem to be right on target--have
I missed something with this Getty listserv thread that's going through
right now. I thought they had just restructured the listserv to probably
more efficiently handle the volumes of stuff that goes through here. But
recent messages and the opening of a new chat room confuse me. Has Getty
pulled their support on this project?

I'm still plugging away with my AP students. They just don't seem to be
motivated to complete the work. I continue to assign new projects to cover
the curriculum each week. Your school certainly sounds like a model for
the rest of us. Our school certainly promotes the arts, but most of the
time I feel it would be so much stronger if we had more teachers with a
wider range of offerings.

Good to hear from you.

Judie
