Re: no sinks and a frustrated art teacher

I am in the exact same boat with no sinks. My students are not allowed in
the hallways without an adult and I am not allowed to take them by myself to
the restroom. See, all of the teachers in the school except for the
"Specials" have an aid with them all of the time. The specials don't but we
still have the same hallway rules as the classroom teacher. We, however, are
supposed to take them to assemblies and other functions by ourselves and hand
out detentions, and suspensions along with the home phone calls and long
forms to fill out. I guess I am venting now.
I usually keep 2 very large buckets for waste water, 2 large to medium
buckets along with 6 table buckets and many small buckets full of water on a
plastic cart with wheels. I used to use an overhead cart till today when
they brought me the plastic/rubbermaid cart. I also keep a jar of dishsoap
on hand for the brushes and other epuipment to be cleaned. I ususally clean
them in the room and then take all of the waste water to the sink and rinse
all of the other buckets.
