Can you consider yourself an Artist? Give your reasons, too.
Is there any difference between an artist and an Art teacher. Or can an Art
Teacher be an artist?
I am an artist. I graduated With my BFA and got my certification for
teaching art k-12. I always wanted to be an art teacher. ever since the 7th
grade and that was a loooonnng time ago! I taught briefly out of college,
got married and had my family during which time I remained a studio artist,
producing, trying to show my work and picking up other art related
(waitress)!! PT work. I only got back to teaching full time a few years ago.
I love every grossly underpaid minute of it and I still do studio work, only
now I do it with my students.
