Hi. I am a first year art teacher who is currently not practicing any form
of art outside of school except demo's for class. I AM trying to create the
BEST lessons for my class and be a good mom to two small children....which
leaves little time for myself. I am feeling like a hypocrite...teaching art
and pushing kids to be artists outside of school...to go to school to study
art and not practice seems....well, AWFUL!!!

Just wondering how many other art teachers are in the same boat...what can I
say to my students....I demo in front of them all of the time...they
oooh-ahhh but still...anyone out there wishing to confess that you are an art
teacher but NOT an artist???? CAN I BE A GREAT ART TEACHER AND NOT BE AN A R
T I S T????

Wearing my heart on my sleeve...true confession.
