Sign your artwork so everybody can learn your name, your art, you. Sign so
people can LOOK for your name. Sign so you can have copyright protection.

These are student pieces of art work we talking about here, unless I
missed something. These pieces of work show a student's personal growth and
exploration. I remember not too long ago reading a wonderful quote: as art
teachers we are not developing young artists, we are developing human
beings. (Or something to that extent) Of course, as an artist, one should
sign their work. As a student, putting the name on the back is fine.
