I have my students do pencil drawings from observation with a minimum
number of value changes. I find that application adds to knowledge
retention and pizzazz.

Does anyone have any ideas for teaching pencil shading besides the
traditional value charts? For the time spent, I would like my students to
have a study with more "value."
