You can mix powdered tempera with an egg yolk only, but you need an awful lot
of eggs for a class. Then there's the salmonella problem, and the stench of
fermenting egg in your room <yikes>
I have had nice results using powered egg yolk. But, then again, it takes an
awful lot of powdered eggs......
