I just checked into the Chicago Art Institute's programs and they do offer a
summer program--I think. It is a Master of Arts in Art Ed. (MAAE) and you can
choose studio track which has 18 credits of studio, or research track. It is
30 credits, have four years to complete it and can request a transfer of up to
6 credits at the time of application. I have asked for more information. The
main drawback at this point is it is $666.00 per credit hour! not including
housing. ouch. Their website is: --and the page for
the program is:

Has anyone taken classes through (at?) Ox-Bow in Saugatuc Michigan? It's
affiliated with Art Inst. of Chicago.

<<I just received a letter from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago
inviting me to a seminar on their art education program. It is offered
summers and is a MFA program. I would contact them if interested, I
didn't save the letter since I am unable at this time to enroll. The
seminars are offered in Jan. and Mar. I think. Sounded like a great
program, although you would have to spend the summer in Chicago.>>
