How to fix tables

Hi, I have the distinction of owning (6) 9' folding tables. I sit 4
students at each table and hope for the best. I have been told that
there is no way to get new tables but these are so bad that I need an
inexpensive, quick fix. 3 are laminated and 3 have painted tops, all
have been carved in and all causes problems when they try to draw on
them. Any suggestions? I have thought about calling up a laminate
company and seeing if they would donate or discount some new laminate,
what do you think? C.
