I am trying to gather photographs of paintings and drawings for my Art Club
members without spending too much money. I don't know if anything like this
exists, but does anyone know if there are any organizations that give out
posters or smaller pictures of artwork for educators? Thought I would ask,
just in case there is somewhere I can turn for help on this.<<<<

A few years back, I found myself in need of images too. I got ahold of many
art magazines (you can probably find gallery and artist addresses on the net
now), and a Fourth Grade classroom teacher had his students write to the
gallerys and artists telling them who they were and what they wanted to learn
about. We asked for damaged posters and outdated catalogues, or postcards.
We had a wonderful response! I still use many of the things that were donated.
Now, the Fifth Grade Classroom Teachers use my list of artists and galleries
and have their students write to them as a practice letter, and I am noticing
lots of good looking artwork in their classrooms.
Perhaps your group can do this too?
