How about Edward Munch from Norway there are of course many more but he is
the most famous. There is an interesting lesson on Munchīs scream in Al
Hurwitz book Teaching Drawing from Art, I have done it often with both my
young students and art education students. Munchīs own description of the
work and the right questions are essential.
As far as Poland goes I know mostly about their textile artists even though
no names come to mind right now, oh yes Barbara Falkowska and Magdalena
Abakonovitz (donīt know if the spelling is right. Also of course they have
very many great printmakers, artists. Hope this helps.
Best regards from the far north, Rosa
