<< I am an art ed. student at the University of Wyoming in Laramie.
My question: How do art teachers make time and justify being working
artists while they teach?
I only have time to make samples for my lessons during the school year. I take
classes, so I can get credit hours, and I will work hard for a class.
I take classes during the summer, and then my choice of subject to depict is
usually animals because I can use them in my lessons with elem kids. I keep my
materials and work set up in the family room, so every chance I get, I can
just sit down and work. I don't like to be holed up in another room, I do
enough of that with the computer. I do want to see my family, so I'm at the
game table in the family room.
