Is is certainly true that the WPA projects at the end of the US depression
were public projects. This history of this and the projects completed are
fascinating. Perhaps some of you live in towns where there are still Post
Office murals or other projects done then. It would be great to ask
students to compare them to Trajan's Forum. To what extent was beautifying
America part of the goal, do you think? Marcia
