Teresa T. brings up the question of do we have to distinguish between
eco-artists, environmental artists, and artists in general? I feel to have
a discussion, especially one like this without body language clues, it
helps to have an agreement on definitions. Also relevent to the
goldsworthy-verame discussion is a critical system proposed by Henry James
based on asking three questions of an artwork, "What was the artist's
intent?" and "did the artist accomplish his (her?) aims?" and "Was it worth
doing?" I would be interested in the goals, or intent of Verame's work as
compared to Goldsworthy's, who claims his aim is "to learn about nature, to
get to the heart of things".--Lynne Hull
