I know the listserve is full of suggested sites we all think that
everybody else should look at but for you in the US you will find
this one a valuable tool for teaching.
It the site for the Australian Broardcasting Corporation. The Public
radio service in OZ. They run a National TV network which provides
quality programs both domestic and imported and a very unbiased news
service.
The ABC Radio as well as providing local needs runs Radio National.
A wonderful information based and quality entertainment service 24
hours a day. Much of their stuff also ends up on Radio Australia
which is very highly thought of in Asia.
Anyway, take a look sometime aand avail yourselves of the transcript
facility. They transcribe all their feature programs and these are
available for viewing and printing. In Particular Occam's Razor , a
sometimes irreverent look at science and technology and the Health
Report which covers a wide range of subjects, many of which are of
interest to teachers.

The address (and i dont know how to make it green)
