The Kids Congress on Art, the culmination of the Wave Your Banner!
national art project (check the online galleries to see the results), brings
middle school students--from Alabama to Wyoming--together with
community leaders, sculptors, painters, performers, educators, and
elected officials to celebrate and champion the importance of art in young
people's lives. After 51 banners were selected to fly at the Getty Center
during its opening year, each selected classroom chose a delegate to
represent their community at the Kids Congress.
