In our art education class, we are doing a group lesson plan on
Art and Ecology and Andy Goldsworthy. The lesson we are going
doing id for 6th grade students. Here is the aesthetic
puzzle/activity our group came up with to present to the
6th grade class.
The aesthetic puzzle would be presented after the students
make snowballs during a field
trip and we (the teachers) would have a class
discussion with them about Andy Goldsworthy and Ecology.
Aesthetic Puzzle:
Andy Goldsworthy has created snowballs as one of his
approaches to art. We created snowballs similar to
Goldsworthy's, do you think Andy Goldsworthy is an
artist? Are you an artist because you created similar
snowballs?Is there a difference between his artwork and yours?
