I am in the process of writing a new curriculum for my school division
in which I have to mesh the Commonwealth of Virginia's English SOLs and
Art. The school in which I work is a high tech center. I am the chair
of the Arts Module where we teach Animation, Claymation, Music and
Photography. I am looking for novels that have either an Arts theme or
has some sort of Artsy undercurrent throughout the story. Do you know
of any titles---either classic or contemporary that I should
investigate? The curriculum that is being developed is for ninth grade
students.
I would appreciate any assistance that you may offer.
