Hi Everyone:
I thought I'd share my favorite perspective piece (one point
perspective). I give a basic primer on one point perspective. Then I
divide the classe into thirds. I give one third of the class a fixed
vanishing point to the left of center, one third of the class gets the
vanishing point to the right of the center, and yes, the other third
gets in in the middle. With a fixed sidewalk line, the class constructs
a city with streets, buildings, etc. Emphasized is proportion, value
(these are done in pencil), detail. There must be at least one person
in the picture, and one form of transportation. They come out great,
and when all hooked together and displayed you get a fisheye view of a
city. Kinda fun.
