I'm working on a theatrical production and I don't have much wood
construction experience. As part of a scene where there are workers on a
construction site, my students would like to attempt to partially build
something on the stage. They are 8th graders-13 & 14 year olds.
We talked about the house that gets built in Peter Pan and the idea of barn
raisings where the pieces are constructed flat and then "raised" up and the
form is continued from there. At the end of the scene, the structure would
have to be able to be removed from the stage for the other scenes. Unless,
we can find a way to incorporate it into the rest of the production. This
idea seems less likely but if you have any suggestions please let me know!
Please let me know of any thoughts you have that can help me help bring my
student's ideas to life.
