Robert, your lengthy replies always inspire me to type with a fury. Did I misinterpret or did you say that "the reason most Elementary teachers do not teach drawing is thattthey were not taught to draw themselves "

Hmmmm.......
Is this not the reason that there are Art Teachers ?

I present this scenario, A Quantum Physics teacher is needed. Do we ask the local fish monger to teach it /
or do we seek out a qualified trained experienced professional......
SHOULD THE ARTS BE ANY DIFFERENT ????

This is Arts Advocacy at it's core. If we relegate our responsibility of teaching the Arts to those who are not fully trained in these areas, are we giving our students what they really need ?? or is it just stuffing whatever in the void because it is cheaper and easier.

I now step off my podium to let the fireworks begin ;)
