Several weeks ago, I was fascinated by the discussion on Peruvian whistles
(or flutes), made of clay. I have found a couple of resources, if you want
to purchase inexpensive examples (they're really neat!)... One is through a
catalog entitled "Pueblo to People" (2105 Silber Road, Suite 101-84, Houston
Texas, 77055. Here's the 800 number: 1-800-843-5257. You can get 4 of
them for $15.00. The other resource is located at 54 E. State Street,
Doylestown, PA, and is called "Crossroad Crafts". The number there is
1-215-340-1011. I found one there for $6.95. Each place is non-profit, and
the proceeds go directly back to the artisans, so they're noble causes, too.

By the way, I began making them with my high school kids today...they LOVE
them. We're going to play them when they're done. Maybe we'll take it on
the road...

Sandy
