Dear J. Boyd,
Have you considered pottery that CONTAINS poetry? I know of a local
sculptor, Lori Samer, that has included the idea of "books" in her ceramic
sculpture. I'm sure there are others that incorporate the written word in
their work. How about the ancient urns, etc., that include pictograms or
hieroglyphics? I personally have some tiles that contain words... I think
that contemporary art may be rich with this type of connection, considering
the use of the written word in graphic arts and painting...
