Christo's work is truly amazing, just because of the kind of discussion it
elicits as witnessed by your great posts. There are numerous resources
available, and of course Chisto has a site himself. There is a book on his
Florida Key installation that I have called "Christo: Surrounded Islands".
It's a paper back published by Abrams, and is a wonderful record of that
work - great for kids. There is also a wonderful video on the Paris bridge
over the Seine installation from a few years back.
Also in this area, there is a fabulous new site in Nebraska from their
"State Wide Interactive" on a new public installation in Lincoln called
"The Torn Notebook" by Claes Oldenberg. It contains interviews with Claes,
a quicktime movie of the unveiling and wonderful classroom activities keyed
in to the Nebraska State frameworks. The whole conception of this site is
fabulous, but watch out for multiplying browser windows! It's done by a
local Nebraska Public TV station, so videos on the installation are also
