first- Dick Blick page 153 Alto's 4501 mat cutting sustem. It's simple,
cuts easily, and is quite versatile.
Second- Dick Blick page 152 A Dexter Mat Cutter used with a good T-Square
will last you a life time and cuts bevels as well as straight edges. I've had
mine for over 20 years. Its dependable and versatile. We have since acquired
a professional Logan mat cutting system (p.151) which makes cutting mats a
breeze but also is quite expensive. The Dexter cost about $20. Buy a couple and
then more than one person can cut mats at the same time.
