Dear Janette -
Last spring my 5th graders made a mural in the multi-purpose room and I also
had $50. The school provided primer and 10 gallons of yellow paint! I asked
parents for donations of latex paint and got quite a bit, which we mixed for
various colors. With the $50, I bought a few colors that we still needed. We
started our project during art class, and interested individuals came after
school to help finish it. I only let 12 paint at a time, to avoid disasters!
I also recommend squirt bottles with water for the inevitable spills, drips
and tracking of paint on the floor. Have fun!

Peggy and 'Leni - I love your idea of the tile mural and would like to try
that this year. How do you install tiles on the wall so they remain
permanent? Thanks. Diane Jaquith
