Block Scheduling

I would like to hear from art teachers who are having positive experiences =
with some form of block scheduling.

Our district is studying it, and intending to go to that format next year (=
97-98). Our principal is leaning toward a 4x4 schedule where the same =
classes will meet daily for a 90 min. block, 4 per day. Traditional =
semester long classes will be completed in 9 weeks, and year long classes =
will be completed in 18.
