This is an anecdote related by one of our Diploma of Education
students while on a teaching practicum in the Cook Islands in the
Pacific
Apparently she and one of her fellow female students met a male
New Zealander who had inquired what these Australian girls were doing
on the islands. They explained that they were on teaching practise
from a University in Australia and one (Sarah) added with enthusiasm
"I and I have grade six!"
Now I dont know how many of you are familiar with the
New Zealand Accent?????
but, the male show a lot of interest in Sarah until the matter was
cleared up.
