Hi, Lily.....Boy, when I read your subject listing, I thought..."Oh, man.
Now I've got to come up with a way to explain this lesson with only words
as my guidelines and no pictures!!!" Imagine my wonderful surprise when
you did JUST THAT in your post!!! Yes, that's exactly what I saw at the
workshop and it was all done in Spanish!! When I questioned the presenter
afterwards, telling her I didn't speak Spanish but wanted to try something
along these lines, she said she had seen two separate teachers make up
jibberish languages of their own designs to present the lessons to their
students. At the time I wasn't as outlandish with my students as I am now,
so I was a little timid to try. Now I could go for it! The lesson is a
little elementary for my middle schoolers but the idea of the language is
fasinating!! This discussion has brought out some old, dusty, cobwebed
ideas long forgotten in the back of this brain of mine!! I thank you
friends for reminding me!!
